The historic town of Göteborg (Gothenburg) in Sweden is the home of the company which has a spacious gallery at Sodra Vagen 41, in the cultural centre of the town, near museums, theatres and concert halls. AntikWest, Sweden was founded in 1970 and is a family business.

We are members of the Swedish Antique Dealers Association, as well as CINOA and LAPADA.

SWEDEN: In Göteborg which is the second biggest town in Sweden, on the Westcoast of Sweden, AntikWest have a big shoowroom and storage at Södra vägen 41, in the central art and museum district of the town.

Sweden have excellent communications with direct flights from Europe as well China and the Far East. Nearest hotels in Göteborg are Lorensberg Hotel, Gothia Towers and Elite Park Avenue Hotel. You can e mail us for the latest hotel offers!

CHINA: AntikWest has since 2007 established a branch-office and showroom in China at JiGuGe Art Co., adress: 132 - 136 East Liulichang Street, Beijing. This very famous antiqúe street founded in late Qing dynasty have many antique and art shops.

JiGuGe Art Co was founded in late 19th Century and deals in all sorts of antiques as well as modern art and reproductions.On second floor there is a big art-gallery as well as their famous and well recommended teahouse.

Our exhibitions at the premises on the second floor, will continue.

ENGLAND: Our showroom and office in London in Kensington is now closed due to the establishment in China, and Jonathan Robinson who managed the London premises continue to work with Patrick Sandberg Antiques, where we also still keep some objects for sale.

AntikWest will continue with selected fairs in London.

Björn Gremner, the owner and director of AntikWest, is managing the Beijing shop, and also responsible for exhibitions and buying activities in Sweden.

Björn is a frequent lecturer in Scandinavia on Chinese porcelain and also appears since over 20 years in the popular Swedish television - program "Antikrundan", the Swedish version of the English "Antiques Roadshow".

Together with his daughter Anna he have also published a popular book on Chinese Export Porcleain, "Det blåvita Guldet" - in Swedish only, a new edition to be published next year will be translated to Chinese.

With start September 18, 2008 we mounted a succesfull exhibition in Guangzhou (Canton) with the title "Jacobs Travels to Guangzhou" as a follow up of to the sucessful exhibítion of Chinese Trade Porcelain and the arrival of the ship Götheborg in Guangzhou in 2006.

This exhibtion had over 58.000 visitors and was well received and covered in press media and television.

We have now plans for it to continue to other museums in China and HongKong.
